My World

’My World’ was written on my phone during this summer when looking at my three children speeding around a busy playground near our home. I was aware that individually they were one of many but to me, their magic and wonderful was and always be the centre of my whole world. 

While the world will try to convince them that they are not so special, I wanted to make it clear that with me, in our home, they are the centre of it all. The most special, wonderful and valued people. 

I have written poetry since I was old enough to write. 

I have endless books and diaries filled with poems of my youth. From declarations of love to boys who did not even know my name to poems exploring dark and heavy subjects,  I always used poetry as a way to express myself and navigate the world around me. 

When I became a mother, I had more inspiration than I knew what to do with. Art and illustrations were a fabulous outlet and a wonderful way to soothe my very busy mind but the value and power of words has always moved me out an even deeper level. 

The fact that my work is received so well by so many of you humbles me deeply. The fact that you would consider hanging my work andmy words in your home, your safe space, is an honour that I honestly cannot describe.

All orders are processed, printed , packed and posted by myself here in the beautiful surrounds of West Cork, Ireland.
