Angel

‘Angel’ was drawn while I sat on my sofa having just spoken to a dear friend. Her beautiful, perfect baby had passed away a few years prior and I consciously brought up his name during our phone call as I always do. Making sure each parent knows their child is remembered and that our conversations are a safe space to talk about them is important to me. 
Before moving full time into art, I worked as a midwife. While my shifts that centred around caring for families in the depths of the worst grief imaginable were very challenging , I also found caring for these babies and their families to be sacred work that I was honoured to do.

I wanted this piece to be simple but the kiss between mammy and baby be felt tangibly .

About my business:

From the initial thought, to the drawing ,from the printing to the packaging and posting ,every step has been finished by hand in my home here in West Cork ,Ireland.
