Your Very Earliest Days

‘Your very earliest days’ is a piece I created to honour two things.

The first is the first trimester of pregnancy. A monumental stage in a woman’s life that is so often diminished or shrouded and secrecy. I wanted to create a piece that represented the beauty and the growth of that time. 

The second life event I wanted to honour with this piece was of course, miscarriage. Too often little babies are lost before their loving parents get a chance to show the world they even existed. I wanted to create a piece that could be proudly hung in anybody’s home as a way to honour the very real little life that was lost.

From the initial thought, to the drawing ,from the printing to the packaging and posting ,every step has been finished by hand in my home here in West Cork ,Ireland.

’Emma Flynn Creative’ is a small artist-lead business. Every aspect of which is created and run by me. As a result,  should external factors (aka unpredictable family needs) cause an  unforeseen disruption in the working week the completion  time of your order may vary.
